Steven Kazianis PhD, of Philadelphia, died March 10, 2008, of anaplastic astrocytoma cancer. Dr. Kazianis was a leading melanoma cancer scientist and avid nature photographer. Steven was given the nickname "Xiphophorus" because of his love of the species of fish that he spent most of his life researching.
He was 41.
